VIDEO: LeBron James Plays In Cleveland Summer League, Isn’t Booed

Apparently, LeBron James can still set foot in Cleveland without having to deal with a lot of heckling and booing. He just needs to make it a "surprise" visit to play with some of his old high school teammates.

This is footage of James playing in the Chris Chambers City League Classic in Warrensville Heights, which is located about 17 miles outside of Cleveland. Several of James’ old teammates from St. Vincent-St. Mary are in the game as well, though James was clearly the dominant force. As you probably guessed, James’ team won, 81-66.

We all have to wonder if James’ reception in this surprise visit back to Cleveland is a sign of the city forgiving him for last summer. On the one hand, Warrensville Heights is much closer to Cleveland than James’ home city of Akron, and the difference between Akron and Cleveland is big if you talk to locals. On the other hand, it was a surprise summer league game in a small gym, which is a pretty huge far cry from Quicken Loans Arena.

Something tells me James will still be booed when the Heat visit Cleveland for the first time after the lockout ends.
