PHOTOS: Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird On NBA 2k12 Covers
With an NBA lockout likely to wipe out a good part of next season, it only makes sense for NBA 2k12 to return to the classic look. One year after having Michael Jordan grace its cover, NBA 2k12 has brought him back, along with legends Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. The game will feature three unique covers, all sold separately.
The Magic and Bird covers are below the jump. All are via the game’s Facebook page.
First, here’s the Bird one, which is OK, but not amazing to me. It looks like a shot of Bird at the end of his career instead of at the beginning. I was hoping for Bird’s old hairstyle to make an appearance, but alas, it did not.
The Magic one, on the other hand, is pretty awesome. It captures him throwing up a sky hook, allowing viewers a chance to relive a portion of the 1987 Finals in their brains.
