Mark Heisler Reportedly Out At Los Angeles Times

For most basketball fans savvy to the web, Mark Heisler needs no introduction: the longtime Los Angeles Times hoops writer is a legend, having won the Curt Gowdy Award from the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006. LA Observed reports that the Times have laid off Heisler as a part of new newsroom cuts.

↵The Times still has a fine NBA staff, but losing J.A. Adande to ESPN a few years ago and cutting Heisler is going to hurt.
