John Calipari Will Pit Dominican Team Against Kentucky Products

In case you'd forgotten, Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari will be running the Dominican Republic's FIBA Americas team this summer, as the nation tries to make the Olympic field for the first time ever in London 2012. The team stars Al Horford, Charlie Villanueva and Francisco Garcia; it needs to win a FIBA Americas tournament without Team USA to earn that trip to London, though a good showing will land the D.R. in next July's last-chance tournament for the final few Olympic bids.

As a warm-up for FIBA Americas, Calipari has announced he will pit the Dominicans against an All-Star cast of former Kentucky players. That team will include John Wall, Rajon Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins, Tayshaun Prince and others. The game is slated for August 15 in (where else?) Lexington.
