Athletes, like so many other Americans, have had their eyes and ears transfixed to the Casey Anthony murder trial for several years now. When the news broke that Anthony was found innocent of charges that she murdered her daughter Caylee by giving her chloroform, duct-taping her body and dumping her in a wooded area, those athletes took to social media like many of us and responded with shock and awe of their own.

There’s much more on McGrady’s account. This actually hits close to home for McGrady, who grew up less than an hour from Orlando and had his best professional years playing in the city, so it’s not just random anger. But while McGrady’s anger is understandable, I personally prefer Rod Benson’s reaction.
