Brandon Jennings apparently has a summer internship, just like so many 21-year old kids across the country. Most of these kids work for law firms, non-profits, the government or any other company of any kind. Jennings' internship, though, is with Under Armour, with whom he has a shoe deal. He also gets a snazzy title ("Curator of Cool," which is actually a pretty clever band name) and a whole bunch of perks.
Brandon Jennings Gets ‘Curator Of Cool’ Internship With Under Armour
He has use of the CEO’s tricked-out Jeep, an expense-paid condo and a glass-enclosed office overlooking the city’s inner harbor - complete with a name plate that announces his official position: “Curator of Cool.” Interns aren’t supposed to get these kind of perks, but then most interns aren’t Brandon Jennings, Milwaukee Bucks guard and endorser for Under Armour.
So what does Jennings do, exactly? From what it sounds like, Under Armour uses him to help come up with designs for their shoes. Essentially, they believe he knows style, so he acts as a big-picture guy of sorts. He has his own office and laptop and everything as if he was employee. In return, they let him use the facilities to work out and improve his game. Right now, he is working with former Duke point guard Jay Williams on becoming a better mid-range shooter.
But whatever. All I really want to know is this: does Jennings actually have a “Curator of Cool” nameplate? If so, how soon can I see it?
