Those who grumble about LeBron James' lack of a post game will undoubtedly be comforted to see that the Miami Heat star plans on working with Hakeem Olajuwon this summer. Olajuwon is known for having the most creative post game of (possibly) all time, and his work with Dwight Howard last summer was well-chronicled.

Here’s where we pause to note James’ explanation on the matter.
“I look at what he was able to do throughout his career,” James said. “Unbelievable talent. Multiple champion. Just to see how he was able to dominate in the low post, for me as an individual, I just try to look at some of the things I feel I need to get better at and hit home at it. Our team becomes better if I continue to get better and that’s what it’s about.”
“For me as an individual,” as opposed to “for me as multiple individuals.” Got it. Business LeBron could use some work on his post game, though. Anyway, moving on...
In all honesty, this is going to get way more attention than it deserves. Howard worked with Olajuwon for a week, and unless Hakeem really likes LeBron, he’s not going to spend too much more time with him. Howard got a lot out of his sessions, but anyone who thinks you can build a post game in a week is living in fantasy land. If James’ post-game improves, Olajuwon will get way more credit than he deserves. Nice gig, huh?
On the flip side, if video of their sessions surfaces like it did with Howard, we might have some actual basketball to watch as the lockout drags on. So that’s nice.
