Darius Miles Charged With Felony For Gun Incident, According To Report

Former NBA player and top five draft pick Darius Miles was arrested at Lambert Airport in St. Louis in early August, after he attempted to carry a loaded gun through airport security. St. Louis radio station KMOX is now reporting that Miles has been charged with a felony.

For Miles, a native of East St. Louis, the arrest is just the latest twist in a downward spiral that's engulfed him almost his entire career. He was drafted no. 3 overall by the L.A. Clippers in 2000, but since then, his career has been full of immaturity, mediocrity, and mistakes.

He averaged 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in a career that spanned Los Angeles, Cleveland, Portland, and Memphis over ten seasons in the NBA. However, he’s been unable to find a place in the league since 2009.

Miles was also arrested in 2009 for driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana.
