Bulls Vs. Timberwolves: Chicago Should Win, But That’s Not Why This Is Must-Watch Basketball

The Minnesota Timberwolves are coming off of a bad loss, while the Chicago Bulls are coming off of a big win. Can the T’Wolves youngsters get it together and put on a show at home?

The Chicago Bulls and the Minnesota Timberwolves meet for the first time this season on Tuesday, and based on their current form, there is little reason to believe that the T'Wolves will win, even at home. The Bulls are coming off a pasting of the Detroit Pistons and sit unsurprisingly at 8-2. Minnesota just lost to the Toronto Raptors and sits unsurprisingly at 3-6.

Does this matter? Sometimes, people watch sports for more than the results. It is more likely than not that the Bulls will have more points at the end of this game, and that we are able to predict that with a higher degree of certainty than the average NBA game. Based on that fact, some people will find a better use for their time rather than tuning into this game, and it is not unreasonable to ask whether or not those people really like basketball for basketball.

Ricky Rubio, Kevin Love and Derrick Williams are going to be playing against the best or second best team in the Eastern Conference. Three of the league's most entertaining young players, inexperienced and unsupported as they may be, playing against a great team with the reigning league MVP.

Don’t watch because you aren’t sure what the final score will read. Watch because fun things will happen.

Game Date/Time: Tuesday, Jan. 10, 8:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota

TV: NBA TV
