Thunder Vs. Celtics: OKC Keeping Celtics At Bay At Halftime

The Boston Celtics are in the midst of the longest losing streak of the Kevin Garnett era, and as they welcomed back Kendrick Perkins with his new team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, things aren't looking much better. The Thunder are leading 46-39 and the Celtics haven't sniffed the lead since early in the first quarter.

Perkins has been a non-factor thanks to foul trouble, scoring zero points and grabbing four rebounds in 13 minutes. They have been led by (who else?) Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who have scored 16 points each, and are creating their shots themselves; the Thunder have just four assists as a team.

Paul Pierce tried to rally the Celtics, scoring six points in the final few minutes of the half — he has 11 so far — but a fast break ending in a monster dunk by Kevin Durant ended that and brought the halftime deficit to its final margin. The Celtics need to shoot better to get back in it, as they're at just 34.1 percent from the field.
