Manu Ginobili suffered a fractured a bone in his left pinkie finger Tuesday during the second quarter of the Spurs' game against the Timberwolves.

The Spurs announced that he’ll be sidelined indefinitely and will be examined by team doctors Tuesday in San Antonio, but Ginobili has already tweeted that he’s expected to miss a few weeks:
I have the 5th metacarpal of my left hand fractured. I guess I'll miss a few weeks. Sad day 4 me.

Ginobili suffered the injury while defending Anthony Tolliver, immediately grabbing his hand in pain. In his four previous games entering the night, Ginobili averaged 19.8 points. He scored just eight points in 13 minutes before leaving Monday, and without their leading scorer, the Spurs would eventually lose, 106-96.
The Spurs are now 3-2 on the season, sitting alone atop the Southwest Division. Following Tuesday’s off-day, they’ll play six games in eight days and 13 games over the next three weeks.
