The Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic will meet in the first game of Friday night's ESPN doubleheader scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. The game's narrative will probably focus on Kobe Bryant, but the match-up between Dwight Howard and Andrew Bynum could be quite interesting as well.
Lakers Vs. Magic: TV Time, Schedule And More
Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic will host Andrew Bynum, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night in a game scheduled to be televised nationally on ESPN.
The Lakers enter the game following Thursday night's loss to the Miami Heat on TNT, but it doesn't get any easier for Bryant and Los Angeles as the team is on a three-game losing streak at the Amway Center -- the Magic's home court. Furthermore, it'll be interesting to see where Bryant's head is after learning half of his assets are going to his wife following their divorce.
As far as the Magic are concerned, Howard has quite a bit to prove as he faces off against Bynum and the Lakers. Howard, the league’s most dominant big man, has a standing trade request on the table with the Lakers being near the top of his intended destinations. The Orlando media made mention of that quite a bit this week as Howard would be following in the footsteps of Shaquille O’Neal as franchise centers leaving Florida for California in the prime of their careers.
