Hawks Vs. Heat: Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh Struggle As Atlanta Hands Miami First Loss
The Atlanta Hawks had a balanced effort to beat the Miami Heat 100-92 on Monday. LeBron James led the Heat with 28 points.
For Atlanta, it was -- as it usually is -- a team effort. Joe Johnson scored 21 on 8-16 shooting, and Al Horford and Tracy McGrady each added 16. Starting point guard Jeff Teague added 15 points, five assists and four steals as Atlanta gave up just 10 turnovers in 90 possessions. Miami turned it over 16 times, and that was the key difference in the teams' offensive performance. Mario Chalmers had five of those turnovers.
The Heat host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday before visiting Atlanta for a revenge match on Thursday. The Hawks play at the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday before Thursday's rematch with the Heat.
