Nate Robinson, a free agent after reaching a buy-out agreement with the Oklahoma City Thunder, will sign with the Golden State Warriors, according to Marcus Thompson of the Contra Costa Times.
Warriors To Sign Nate Robinson, According To Report
Nate Robinson will reportedly sign with the Golden State Warriors after being bought out by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Robinson was traded to the Thunder in the Jeff Green-Kendrick Perkins deal in February 2011, but hardly got off of Scott Brooks' bench. He's a scorer primarily, though he does have ball-hawking instincts. He's not a set-up man by any stretch of the imagination, though he'll likely be asked to play point guard for Golden State in heavy doses. At 5'9, he's one of the smaller players in the NBA.
Thompson reports that Robinson could be in uniform for the Warriors' Friday match against the L.A. Lakers. He figures to supplant Ish Smith, Charles Jenkins or lottery pick Klay Thompson in the rotation.
