Hawks Vs. Bulls Final Score: Ugly Game Ends In 76-74 Chicago Victory

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Atlanta Hawks and the Chicago Bulls combined for 98 points. This game was as ugly as can be for 36 minutes, but the Bulls were the ugly kings, scoring just 42 points in those first three quarters before completely turning it around and scoring 34 points in the final period and stunning the Hawks, 76-74. Derrick Rose came up with clutch bucket after clutch bucket down the stretch, finishing with 30 points and seven assists.

Luol Deng and Joakim Noah combined for the game's key play, when, with less than 10 seconds remaining, Noah found Deng cutting backdoor toward the basket for the go-ahead layup. Joe Johnson missed an off-balance three-pointer at the buzzer, completing a massive Bulls comeback. Chicago was down as much as 19 in the game, but the Hawks' mistakes, mostly at the free throw line, allowed them to climb back in it.

Josh Smith was the Hawks' best player for most of the game, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and he finished with 15 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks. He also had two big baskets in the final quarter as the Hawks tried to hold off Derrick Rose's charge.
