Rockets Vs. Clippers: Houston Stays In L.A. With Visit To Lob City

The Houston Rockets will look to avenge Tuesday night’s loss to the Lakers with a second consecutive game at the Staples Center as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Houston Rockets suffered a loss to Andrew Bynum and the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night as Bynum put a 20-20 game on Houston's undersized frontcourt. On the bright side, however, the Rockets have a quick chance to get that performance out of their memories as they stay in L.A. to play Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the rest of the Clippers in Lob City.

The Rockets were lit up to the tune of 21 points and 21 rebounds by a fresh Andrew Bynum on Tuesday night, but the backcourt actually looked solid in defeat. Point guard Kyle Lowry's line in the box score was particularly impressive as he scored 22 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished nine assists in a near triple-double performance.

The Clippers have had a few days off since defeating the Portland Trail Blazers on New Year's Day, but are to just a 2-2 start that has fell below most expectations for a team that features Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Paul, by the way, is one of two players in the NBA averaging at least 15 points and nine assists at this point in the NBA season.

The tip-off for Wednesday’s contest is scheduled 10:30 p.m. ET and can be watched on NBA TV.
