Corey Maggette Injury: Bobcats Forward Out 2-4 Weeks With Hamstring Strain

Bobcats forward Corey Maggette will miss up to a month with a hamstring injury.

The Charlotte Bobcats announced that forward Corey Maggette has suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him sidelined for two to four weeks.

Charlotte's director of basketball communications, B.J. Evans, tweeted the news on Friday, "Injury Update: MRI confirmed Corey Maggette suffered a left hamstring strain at Knicks Wednesday; expected to miss 2-4 weeks."

SB Nation Bobcats blogger Ben Swanson delivered his own pitch-perfect reaction:

Maggette has averaged 12 points and six rebounds per game for the Bobcats, with a 7.83 PER, which is a little better than 50 percent of what is considered league average (15).
