Chuck Hayes suffered a separated shoulder in a collision with forward Drew Gooden during Thurday night's win over the Milwaukee Bucks . The Sacramento Kings have not announced a timetable for his return, but Hayes did say after the game that he expects to be back in 2-3 weeks.

Hayes has become well known for his toughness. The night before he took a charge from the Denver Nuggets' Chris Andersen that he categorized as one of his "Top 5 all-time."

“The other charges were from guards,” Hayes said. “The one from Birdman was more painful than any charge I’ve taken. I saw him coming down the lane for a dunk, a big man coming full speed, and I knew it’d hurt.”

Despite the apparent toll on his body, Hayes said that he wouldn’t change the way he played defense. The fact that the hit he took on Thursday seemed relatively mild has to somewhat concerning, however.
