Thursday’s NBA preseason schedule highlighted by Nets-Celtics

The Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets play for the second time in three nights, this time in Brooklyn’s recently-opened Barclays Center in a nationally broadcast affair. The game is one of four on Thursday night.

Four preseason games take place Thursday night, including a Brooklyn Nets-Boston Celtics matchup at the brand-new Barclays Center that will be be the first game on TNT's national broadcast schedule thus far this year.

The two squads squared off just two nights ago in a matchup that looked lopsided as Avery Johnson rested stars Deron Williams and Joe Johnson while Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo all started for Boston. But the Nets squeaked out a 97-96 win with unknowns on the court for the game's critical minutes.

The game will be only the second played in the Nets' new Brooklyn arena. It's not clear whether Leandro Barbosa, signed Wednesday, will make his debut for the Celtics in the matchup.

Here’s a full look at the Thursday schedule. All times are Eastern.

New Orleans Hornets vs. Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 p.m.

Detroit Pistons vs. Miami Heat, 7:30 p.m., FSN-Detroit

Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets, 8:00 p.m., TNT

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 8:00 p.m.
