The Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, and Atlanta Hawks all recorded wins in NBA preseason action Saturday. The Heat staged a furious fourth-quarter rally to top the San Antonio Spurs, 104-101. Miami entered the final period down by eight points, but outscored the Spurs, 27-16, to pick up the victory. The Heat were led by Rashard Lewis, who scored 15 points off the bench. Dwyane Wade added 13 points and five assists, and Lebron James did not play. Danny Green scored 17 points in a losing effort for San Antonio, with Tim Duncan adding 15 points and six boards.

Atlanta, Indiana and Utah were also victorious in preseason action.


The Boston Celtics overcame a sluggish start to beat the New York Knicks, 109-98. The Celtics were down 28-15 after one period, but steadily chipped away at the New York lead and pulled away with a 29-point fourth quarter. Boston was led by Jeff Green's 25 points and Rajon Rondo's 11 assists. Jason Terry added 22 points off the bench for the Celtics. The Knicks got a game-high 34 points from forward Chris Copeland. Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Tyson Chandler did not play.
Atlanta evened their preseason record at 3-3 with a 110-94 win over Dallas. Forward Mike Scott led the Hawks with 17 points, though Atlanta got double-digit scoring from seven different players. Josh Smith added 10 points and 13 rebounds. Dallas was led by 15 points from Jae Crowder and 13 points from Vince Carter.
Elsewhere, Indiana got a double-double from Roy Hibbert and 18 points from Gerald Green in a 83-80 win over Memphis. The Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 99-91, on the strength of an 18-point, 8-rebound night from Marvin Williams. Trevor Booker scored 22 points for the Washington Wizards in their 102-94 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, and Detroit topped the Charlotte Bobcats, 85-80, after getting 15 points and seven rebounds from Greg Monroe.
