Here’s what we know: Delonte West was suspended briefly after a locker room outburst earlier this month. Thursday, the Mavericks announced that the team has now suspended West indefinitely for “conduct detrimental to the team”. When asked to explain the situation, a team source told one former Mavs writer it was a case of “Delonte being Delonte.”

It’s a murky situation, but given Delonte’s history, it’s not terribly surprising, and all the more disappointing. Meanwhile, West painted his own picture on Twitter:

We have no idea what sparked all this, and if anything, West’s heartfelt tweets--and the anonymous source’s “Delonte being Delonte” explanation--just make the situation more confusing.
