In the wake of Delonte West being suspended for the second time in 10 days for conduct detrimental to the team, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said that the final decision on the fate of the maligned guard will be his alone to make.

Dallis Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was non-commital when asked about the maligned guard, who has been suspended twice by the team in as many weeks.

He was also explicit in his desire to avoid a scenario like the one he dealt with with Lamar Odom, who had the worst statistical season of his professional career with the Mavericks and was run out of town by Cuban after the player was mentally disengaged and failed to provide any value to the roster.
West has had a history of mental issues, and he’s even been arrested on weapons charges in the past, but he provided a much-needed spark off the Dallas bench a season ago. West averaged 9.6 points and 3.2 assists while spending time at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. He started 33 games in Dallas before a broken finger prematurely ended his season in 2011-2012.
