Kyle Lowry injury: Raptors’ G out 1-2 weeks with bruised right foot
Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will miss 1-2 weeks with a bruised bone in his right foot, the team announced Thursday.
Lowry originally sustained the injury against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 6. During the second quarter, Lowry stepped on the foot of Thunder forward Serge Ibaka and appeared to roll his ankle. Lowry headed straight to the Toronto locker room and was diagnosed with an ankle sprain. He did not return to the game and has not played since sustaining the injury.
Lowry was acquired by the Raptors this offseason in a trade with the Houston Rockets that sent Gary Forbes and a future first-round pick the other way. In four games played this season, Lowry has averaged 18.3 points, 6.3 assists 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 steals in 31 minutes per game.
The Raptors will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Boston to play the Celtics.
