The Miami Heat survived a furious fourth-quarter rally by the Denver Nuggets to sneak out of Mile High with a 98-93 victory for their seventh win of this young season.

Even without Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat were able to go on the road on the second night of a back-to-back and pull out a win against a feisty Denver Nuggets team.

The Heat were without injured guard Dwyane Wade, but they still had LeBron James, and he delivered. James led all scorers with 27 points and added seven rebounds and 12 assists. But he wasn't by himself as Shane Battier made up for the lack of Wade with six three-pointers and 18 points. Chris Bosh (14 points) and Mike Miller (12 points on four threes) were also in double-figures for the Heat.
The Nuggets trailed, 79-66, heading into the fourth quarter before going on a 15-6 run to start the fourth behind the play of reserve guard Andre Miller. The Nuggets trailed by as many as 19 points in the game and cut it to one twice, including 92-91 with 1:25 remaining.
But Norris Cole hit a three with 51.4 seconds left after Danilo Gallinari air-balled a three-pointer to put the Heat up by four. The Heat would not be threatened again.
Miller put up 19 points with seven assists to lead the Nuggets. JaVale McGee also added 18 points off the bench as the Nuggets had six players in double-figures. Kenneth Faried pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds to go along with his 16 points. The Nuggets outrebounded the Heat, 48-29.
The Heat improved to 7-3 while the Nuggets fell under .500 at 4-5.
