San Antonio Spurs forward Stephen Jackson suffered a non-displaced fracture on the little finger in his right hand on Monday, according to Dan McCarney of the San Antonio Express-News.

The veteran is averaging 8.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 2012.


The veteran took himself out of the game against the Los Angeles Clippers at the AT&T Center after sustaining the injury. When he tried to return, he was unable to continue. The injury was later diagnosed as a non-displaced fracture of the proximal phalanx in the little finger of his right hand. He is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Jackson played in 10 minutes on Monday and was 1-for-3 from the field and had two points and two rebounds. The Spurs are 8-2 and second in the standings in the Southwest Division behind the Memphis Grizzlies. The game against the Clippers is a rematch of an early-season contest that saw the Spurs fall to the Clippers at Staples Center, 106-84. San Antonio has won two of its last three games, and is coming off a 126-100 win against the Denver Nuggets at home.
