Antonio McDyess contemplates NBA comeback
Antonio McDyess’s agent is reaching out to a select group of teams gauging interest in the 15-year veteran’s services.

According to a Yahoo! Sports report, the retired big man is considering a return to the NBA this season and has been working out in Houston while in contact with his agent.
“He would consider coming back and I will be reaching out to select teams,” McDyess’ agent, Andy Miller, told Yahoo! Sports.
McDyess, who started his career with the Denver Nuggets, retired in 2011 as a member of the San Antonio Spurs after spending time with the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons.
A gold medalist as part of the United States men’s basketball team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, McDyess was also an All-Star in 2001. Knee injuries were constant problem for the 6’9 second overall pick in the 1995 NBA draft, who averaged 12 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game over the course of just more than 1,000 games played.
