In a defensive battle, San Antonio came out ahead thanks to another 20-point game from Tim Duncan and a solid 14-points, 11-assist night from Tony Parker, who iced the game with a deep buzzer-beating jumper from the left elbow.

The Spurs didn’t have Manu Ginobili, but were able to knock down the Thunder on Thursday, thanks to Tony Parker.
The other major story from the game was that Russell Westbrook was not exactly at his best -- he struggled defensively, and shot just 6-21 with six turnovers to five assists. Westbrook, one of the most frequent creators in the game, has games like this, especially against strong defensive teams. (And yes, it looks like the Spurs will be strong defensively.) But they sting. (And lead everyone to overreact.)
You are also, no doubt, wondering how Kevin Martin did in his first game replacing James Harden in OKC. He had 15 points on 14 shots (that's 10 field goal attempts and four free throws), plus a rather stunning (for longtime K-Mart observers) five assists. It was quite the Harden-y game.
The Spurs are 2-0, atop the league, like always.
