Anthony Davis has left the New Orleans Hornets' game against the Utah Jazz and is being tested for a concussion, reports Bill Oram. With 4:51 remaining in the half, Davis was preparing to take a charge when fellow rookie Hornet rookie Austin Rivers caught him in the eye while moving into a defensive position.

Davis, the overall No. 1 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, played 14 minutes prior to the injury. He shot 4 for 6 for eight points, with six rebounds, a steal and two blocks.

The Hornets hold a narrow lead over the Jazz, 47-43. With Davis out, Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith are likely to see more time on the floor. Anderson had a strong first half, shooting 5 for 9 for 14 points, while Smith collected only two points while shooting 1 of 3 in 10 minutes. The team is shooting 46.5 percent and has managed to stay ahead of the Jazz in fouls, picking up only five to Utah's nine.
