    Kings 113, Lakers 97

Mike D’Antoni and the Lakers thought that they would land in Sacramento and beat up on the moribund Kings, but Tyreke Evans was like, “Nope!”

GIF via HeuristicLineup. Tyreke was rather brilliant on both ends, with a couple of vintage drives to the hoop and lots of havoc-creating action to force turnovers. But the real stars were Jason Thompson and Chuck Hayes, who completely shut down Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol all night long. DeMarcus Cousins struggled with foul trouble and frequently terrible shots as well, but the Kings’ other two main big men made up for it. Marcus Thornton was also quite awesome off of the bench, helping the team deny Kobe Bryant (38 points, including about four absolutely stunningly ridiculous makes) and L.A. a victory.

From the GIF, it looks like this young Atlanta Hawks fan is excited about candy. A Hawks cheerleader is carrying a tray of a kid’s dream in the form of a ton of candy. There’s a little of everything, and after making his selection, the young man ogles.

It honestly looks like he’s just excited about the tray. Maybe he thought he made the wrong choice and saw something better. And then you see the still shots and that theory is shot down quickly.

Wizards lose in most Wizards way possible

    Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE

But of course, this is the Wizards. Obviously it wasn’t meant to be.

It all started when they couldn’t grab two rebounds off missed free throws, which allowed the Hawks to tie the game with 20 seconds left. Then, after Kevin Seraphin momentarily gave the Wizards the lead with a wide-open jumper, the Hawks marched the ball up the court and found Kyle Korver for a 30-foot three that dropped in with 1.9 seconds left. Boom, Hawks lead and it’s over. Right?
