Nick Young, better known in the locker room by his moniker Swaggy P, said he gave himself the nickname one day and it caught on. Young said the Sixers run plays for “SP,” rather than “NY.”
They said it couldn’t be done. They said it was impossible for a grown man to call himself Swaggy P and be taken seriously by his fellow professionals, let alone his superiors.
They said he was too immature, too reckless.
They said it was Swaggy P Against The World, and our hero was doomed.
