It is unknown whether the second-year forward will be available for Saturday’s game against Utah, after an MRI confirmed a shoulder strain.

Parsons is in his second season with the Rockets after being taken in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft. The 6'9 Florida product played 28.6 minutes per game as a rookie, averaging 9.5 points per game. In 2012, he has become a key component of the Houston offense, scoring 15.7 points per game and adding 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest. Parsons scored 31 on 13-17 shooting in Houston's surprising 131-103 win over the New York Knicks on Friday.
Daequan Cook is expected to continue to play in Parsons' absence, as he did in Wednesday's game.
