On one side of the coin you have Stephon Marbury, who goes to China and becomes happier and more successful than he’s ever been in his life. Then on the other side there’s Tracy McGrady, and the story just keeps getting more cruel. It’s like a Hoop Dreams sequel. You can read this Deadspin story for more details on T-Mac and his winless season with the Qingdao Double Star Eagles, but nothing captures it better than the photo above. Anyway, here’s to hoping the money is worth it, and if nobody wants to go to China to hug Tracy McGrady, then we should at least send someone over there to film Chinese Hoop Dreams. Right?
