New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony injured his left ankle on a drive to the basket in the second half of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Anthony initially tried to play on it, but then left the game. Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reports that Anthony sprained his left ankle and his return to the game is doubtful.
The Knicks could afford to be cautious with Anthony in this game, with the team leading by as many as 26 points in the third quarter, although the Lakers did eventually close that deficit to just 13. Anthony left the game with 30 points on 10-of-15 shooting. He also had three rebounds and a steal.
The Knicks are shooting 61 percent in the game and are 10 for 19 from three-point range. Three other Knicks are in double figures. Raymond Felton has 17 points, Steve Novak had scored 12 and Tyson Chandler has 11.
The Lakers are shooting just 40 percent. Kobe Bryant has scored 17 points, but made just 5 of 15 shots.
