The Houston Rockets moved to .500 on the season as they defeated the Boston Celtics 101-89. The Rockets put together a well-rounded attack led by Chandler Parsons and James Harden. The Rockets held a strong lead early in the game, but allowed Boston back into the contest, and trailed by two entering half time. The game remained close throughout most of the second half, before Houston pulled away for good in the final three minutes of the game.

Parsons finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Harden finished with 21 points, despite only making six of his 17 field goal attempts. Harden did, however, go 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Greg Smith scored 20 points in 22 minutes off the bench.
The Celtics were led by Rajon Rondo, who contributed 15 points, 14 assists, four rebounds, four steals and a block in the losing effort. Paul Pierce scored 18 points and gathered seven rebounds, while Kevin Garnett scored 14. Jason Terry contributed 12 off the bench.
