Raymond Felton injury: Knicks guard has fractured pinkie

Raymond Felton sat out Wednesday’s game between the Knicks and Suns with a fractured pinkie, suffered during New York’s Christmas Day loss to the Lakers. He could miss 4-6 weeks.

Point guard Raymond Felton did not suit up for the New York Knicks' 99-97 win over the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night. It was revealed shortly after the game that he has a fractured pinkie, which he suffered in the Knicks' loss Christmas Day to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Felton said he could miss 4-6 weeks with the injury, according to Nate Taylor from The New York Times.

The Knicks ultimately won Wednesday on a J.R. Smith buzzer-beating jump shot, despite also being without leading scorer Carmelo Anthony.

Felton came into the game averaging 15.8 points per game, good for second on the team. He is also the Knicks’ leading assist man with 6.3 per contest. Jason Kidd started at point guard for the Knicks Wednesday and scored 23 points to go with eight assists and six rebounds. He also picked up the assist on Smith’s game-winner.

The Knicks are now 21-8 and will visit Sacramento to face the Kings on Friday.
