2012 NBA schedule: Sunday, Dec. 30

The Los Angeles Clippers’ franchise-best 16-game winning streak will be on the line against Utah on Sunday night.

USA TODAY Sports

There are only four games taking place on Sunday night, but one of them features the hottest team in the NBA.

At 24-6, the Los Angeles Clippers have won 16 straight games, the best mark in the league since Boston won 19 straight in 2008. Los Angeles is also trying to become the third team in NBA history to finish a month at 16-0. The two previous teams were the 1995-96 Spurs and 1971-72 Lakers.

Win no. 17 would be the second straight against the Jazz, who nearly put an end to the Clippers’ streak on Friday. In that game, Utah led Los Angeles by 19 points in the second half before the Clippers rallied to take the game. Los Angeles has won four straight against the Jazz.

In the night’s other three games, Boston will play Sacramento, Milwaukee will visit Detroit, and San Antonio faces Dallas.
