NBA Scores: Eric Gordon is back, Heat and Celtics get killed on road

Eric Gordon made his season debut for the Hornets. Meanwhile, the Heat and Celtics both got mugged on the road.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Hornets 98, Bobcats 95
Eric Gordon played his first game as a max player ... and delivered, leading the Hornets with 24 points. Charlotte has now lost 18 straight games. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist left briefly due to a scratched cornea, but threw on some goggles and played the second half.

Thunder 124, Rockets 94
Say, Houston’s massive defensive problems are ... a problem? How about that?

Bucks 104, Heat 85
Back-to-back losses to inferior teams for Miami. Milwaukee smoked the Heat 35-14 in the fourth quarter; Larry Sanders was a big part of the run that clinched the game. The Bucks are 16-12 and right in the playoff hunt.

Warriors 101, Celtics 83
Boston was basically not competitive. Rajon Rondo didn’t play with a right leg injury, and the C’s shot just 36 percent from the floor. Stephen Curry led the way with 22 points and nine assists. The Warriors are 21-10.

Nets 103, Cavaliers 100
P.J. Carlesimo is 2-0 as coach of the Nets! Brook Lopez was a monster with 35 points and 11 rebounds. C.J. Miles had 33 for Cleveland. Mikhail Prokhorov attended. He did not, to our knowledge, fire anyone.

Grizzlies 81, Nuggets 72
When Denver has a bad offensive night, they have a really bad offensive night.

Hawks 109, Pacers 100
Lou Williams had 21 points and 11 assists. This was somehow Lou’s first career double-double, but only because Grown Man Shots are not listed in the box score.

Timberwolves 111, Suns 107
Luis Scola’s 2008esque 33-10 wasn’t enough. Sadly.

Raptors 123, Magic 88
The whole Kyle-Lowry-as-a-backup-for-Jose-Calderon-no-it-doesn’t-make-sense-on-paper-just-go-with-it regime seems to be working.

Bulls 87, Wizards 77
If we all pretend this didn’t happen, maybe the box score will just disappear.
