Could the Los Angeles Lakers trade Pau Gasol?

The Lakers went 3-5 in the eight games without Gasol but they have won their last two games. Trudell also tweeted that Gasol feels like he has the explosion back that he didn’t have early in the season, which is a good sign for the Lakers.

The Lakers are 9-11 in 2012-13, and just 2-6 on the road. They are 1-2 in the three games Gasol has missed.

But according to McMenamin, Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak has notified Gasol’s representatives that if Gasol does not adjust to the new offensive system under head coach Mike D’Antoni, the team will be forced to explore trade options involving the 32-year-old four-time All-Star.

Gasol has dealt with the injuries all season and it has shown in his production. Gasol is averaging a career-low 12.6 points per game and shooting a career-low 42 percent from the field as the Lakers went from a Mike Brown system that fit his skill-set perfectly to a Mike D’Antoni offense that has Gasol still trying to figure out where he can be effective.
