Carmelo Anthony injury: Knicks star set to return
Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will start against the Denver Nuggets Sunday after missing the past two games with a finger injury.

Anthony suffered the cut earlier this week in a game against the Charlotte Bobcats after he dove behind the Knicks' bench in an attempt to wrangle in a loose ball. But after testing out the five stitches on his left middle finger during Sunday's shoot-around, he apparently decided it was worth giving it a go against his former team, the Denver Nuggets.
Anthony is expected to wear a bandage on his finger but it’s not likely to affect his output too much with the laceration being on his non-shooting hand. The ninth-year pro has averaged 26.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the 17 games he’s started this season.
The Knicks split their last two games with Jason Kidd taking Anthony's place in the lineup.
