George Hill has been a key player in the Indiana Pacers rotation this season as the team's first guard off the bench, but it seems as though the team will have to find a bit more depth for the next few games. Hill sustained an ankle injury on Tuesday night that will cause him, at a minimum, to miss the team's next two games.
George Hill Injury: Pacers Guard Out Indefinitely With Chip Fracture In Ankle
Indiana Pacers back-up guard George Hill suffered an ankle injury on Tuesday night that will cause him to miss at least a couple of games. The Pacers announced the injury is “a small chip fracture.”
Hill sustained what’s being termed a “small chip fracture in his left ankle,” according to the team. The Pacers’ director of media relations, David Brenner, reported on Twitter that Hill is out indefinitely and that he won’t travel with the team for its next pair of games.
The 6-foot-2 combo guard out of IUPUI has been more inconsistent than anyone would like thus far this season, but had been averaging nearly 25 minutes per game this season. The former San Antonio Spurs guard is averaging 9.3 points and shooting 38 percent from three-point territory in 19 games this season.
