The New York Knicks have built upon their eight-point first-quarter lead to take a 54-36 lead over the Sacramento Kings into halftime of Wednesday night's game at Madison Square Garden.

Point guard and NBA sensation Jeremy Lin has six points, nine assists and just one turnover in 17 minutes. Forward Amare Stoudemire and center Tyson Chandler have nine points apiece as the Knicks continue to shoot well from the field, hitting on 20 of 39 (51.3 percent) attempts.

The Knicks also have a 25 to 18 rebounding edge in the first half.

For the Kings, guard Marcus Thornton is five-of-11 from the floor to lead the team with 13 points. Power forward DeMarcus Cousins has six points, but is just three-of-nine from the floor and leads the team with three personal fouls.
