The Chicago Bulls managed to challenge the Boston Celtics on the road last weekend despite missing Derrick Rose. In that game, C.J. Watson stepped up for Chicago to produce 22 points, but he needed 23 field goal attempts to get there. His counterpart Rajon Rondo was far more efficient, scoring 32 points on 22 shots and adding 15 assists and 10 rebounds for a supersized triple-double. That allowed Boston to eek out a 95-91 win.
Celtics Vs. Bulls: Chicago Looks For Vengeance Against Boston, With Or Without Derrick Rose
The Chicago Bulls will look to exact revenge for Sunday’s loss to the Boston Celtics on Thursday.
Rose might sit again as his back ails; he missed the Bulls' Tuesday game against the Sacramento Kings (one Chicago was able to win). But the change of venue could change the result: the Bulls are a league-best 10-1 at home while Boston is just 4-5 on the road. Another change could be Kevin Garnett's status. The future Hall-of-Famer missed Boston's atrocious Wednesday loss to the Pistons with a hip injury, and could sit on Thursday. In Sunday's Boston win over Chicago, KG had 13 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks.
