Celtics Vs. Bulls: Bulls Roar Back In Second Quarter, Lead By Nine At Halftime

The Chicago Bulls erased a six-point first-quarter deficit to take a 44-35 lead over the Boston Celtics at halftime of tonight's game at the United Center in Chicago.

The Celtics opened up an eight-point lead midway through the second quarter, but the Bulls battled back with a 22-5 run on buckets by Joakim Noah, Mike James, Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer over the final six minutes and 45 seconds.

Noah leads the Bulls with 12 points and six rebounds, while Boozer has 11 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Deng has 10 points on three-of-five shooting to go along with five assists. As a team, the Bulls are 15-of-39 from the floor, including five-of-eight from beyond the arc. The Bulls have also regained the rebounding edge, grabbing 29 to the Celtics’ 18, including ten on the offensive glass.

For the Celtics, point guard Rajon Rondo has a team-high 10 points and three assists, while Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett have eight points apiece. Ray Allen has been ice cold, missing all five of his field goal attempts and scoring just one point in 12 minutes.
