You might have heard that Jeremy Lin is the Mr. Christian Religion Tim Tebow of the NBA. Well, it’s time to give up rational arguments to the contrary because thanks to USA Today we now know Lin sports a wristband that reads “In Jesus Name I Play.”

The wristbands are made by Active Faith, a faith-based sporting apparel company that is owned by former professional basketball player Lanny Smith and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Anthony Tolliver. Apparently, despite what you might have read, Jeremy Lin is not the only religious person in sports.

Want this bracelet? Need this bracelet? Just curious about this bracelet? Read about this bracelet -- and how Active Faith landed the endorsement coup of a lifetime -- after the jump.

So how did Active Faith get the NBA biggest star to wear their gear? Well, he’s been wearing it since he was in the D-League. From USA Today:

Lin was on board with wearing the brand before his newfound stardom. [...]
“We had a relationship before this whole thing blew up the way it did,” Smith says. “With him being so open about his faith it matches up perfectly.”

Jeremy Lin is really good at basketball, but he is REALLY good at moving swag. So don’t be surprised when everyone you know is wearing faith-based wristbands that read “In Jesus Name I Play.”
