Landry has been playing his familiar sixth man role for New Orleans, which is a legit challenger for worst team in the league.

Carl Landry will miss 3-4 weeks for the New Orleans Hornets after spraining his MCL.
Landry signed a one-year, $9 million deal with New Orleans as a salary cap “mule,” having played with the club for half of the 2010-11 season after a midseason trade. Landry had been an unrestricted free agent, but didn’t find a better deal than what the Hornets offered.
Landry would have become a popular name on the trade market, but this injury will keep him out until 1-2 weeks before the March 15 trade deadline. It will also likely open up minutes for Chris Kaman, who the Hornets had benched for a week to pursue trade possibilities.
