Mike D’Antoni Resigns: What’s Next For The Knicks?

Mike D'Antoni is out as the New York Knicks' head coach in a move that surprised many on Wednesday morning. It wasn't a surprise considering the Knicks' present state and the turmoil that seems to have developed within the locker room, though the timing -- in the middle of the season, with the team fighting for a playoff spot -- is curious.

Now the attention turns to Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. Anthony may have been the reason D'Antonio and the Knicks parted ways, with reports indicating the former head coach wanted to trade him away, causing a rift with the ownership. It's all confusing and a mess of reports, but we're here to help!

To help sort it all out, Posting and Toasting editor Seth Rosenthal joined Dan Rubenstein, of SB Nation Studios, to talk D’Anonti, the Knicks, what happened and what comes next.

For more on D’Antoni and the Knicks, head over to the SB Nation blog Posting and Toasting. Be sure to stay tuned to our NBA hub as well.
