It's hard to know what to make of this, but ESPN's Ric Bucher is suggesting the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs are discussing a swap of veterans:
NBA Trade Rumors: Richard Jefferson For Stephen Jackson Being Discussed?
Stephen Jackson was just traded back to the Golden State Warriors the other day, and he doesn't seem to be interested in getting re-routed:
“I love the Bay Area,” Jackson said from Minneapolis, where he was waiting on a connecting flight to San Francisco. “I’ve been talking to Andrew (Bogut) and we didn’t get to play together much in Milwaukee. But with a new coach, a new organization that’s different, I’m looking forward to it.”
With less than an hour before the deadline, though, Yahoo! is corroborating Bucher’s report, saying the two teams are in advanced discussions.
Jackson has played in 26 games this season and is averaging almost 14 points per 36 minutes. Jefferson, on the other hand, has started every game for the Spurs this season and is averaging almost 12 points and four and a half rebounds per 36 minutes.
