NBA Trades: Spurs, Warriors Swap Stephen Jackson And Richard Jefferson, According To Report

The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs have completed a trade that would send Richard Jefferson to the Warriors and newly-acquired Stephen Jackson to San Antonio, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports. The deal was rumored earlier Thursday. The Warriors will also receive a conditional first-round pick, according to Marcus Thompson of the Contra Coast Times.

Jackson can only be traded with his consent due to NBA rules. Jackson was acquired by the Warriors from the Milwaukee Bucks in a Tuesday, May 13, deal involving Andrew Bogut and Monta Ellis.

The move reunites Jackson with Tim Duncan, with whom he won a championship in 2003. Jackson has one year and just over $10 million remaining on his contract after this season, while Jefferson is owed $10.1 million next season and has a player option for just over $11 million in 2013-14.
