New Orleans Hornets forward Jason Smith is facing a two-game suspension for a flagrant foul committed on Blake Griffin on Thursday.

The schedule works out perfectly for the purposes of avoiding further altercations. One of the two games Smith’s suspension runs through is a game against the Clippers. Smith apologized to Griffin after executing the nasty hip check, but that probably wouldn’t have been the end of the bad blood if Smith had been able to play in the rematch.
