There hadn't been a four-overtime game in the NBA since 1997 before the Atlanta Hawks and Utah Jazz decided to play nearly an extra full half of basketball to settle their battle on Sunday. Atlanta prevailed 137-134 in the fourth OT to stint Utah's momentum and continue its own. Now we find out if the Hawks will be able to get out of bed before their next game.
NBA Scores: Hawks Finally Get Past Jazz In Fourth Overtime
The Hawks earned their win over the Jazz on Sunday ... in four overtimes.

For the Jazz, that comes soon: They flew out of Atlanta immediately after the marathon game because they have a match with old friend Deron Williams and the Nets in New Jersey on Monday. Sunday's starters will likely have slept well on the flight as all of them played at least 49 minutes, with Gordon Hayward coming in at 57-1/2. The Hawks had reason to yawn, too: This was the final game of a back-to-back-to-back. Joe Johnson scored 37 points in his 55 minutes.
Both teams took amazing care of the ball, with a total of 20 turnovers between them. Of course, they brought the extra work on themselves: The teams combined for a whopping four points in the first overtime. The Basketball Gods were not satisfied and demanded more.
In other action ...
Suns 108, Cavaliers 83: Markieff Morris racked 22 points in the win, and Steve Nash had 13 assists as Phoenix continues to hover in the West playoff race.
Celtics 88, Wizards 76: Avery Bradley started for Ray Allen and picked up 23 points in a team-high 40 minutes.
Blazers 90, Warriors 87: Mark Jackson said after the game that he was extremely proud of his team. Because why wouldn’t you be proud to lose to a unashamedly tanking club?
